[IGP]

Interchange General Practice is located on the third floor of 28 University
Avenue. The Practice was purpose designed by architect Ross Feller. It
contains 7 doctors’ consulting rooms, a large waiting area for patients, a
treatment room, a nurse’s room, an administrative area and a staff room.

Each of the consulting rooms is fully outfitted and has a curtained area to
ensure patient privacy.

The treatment room was built in accordance with the requirements of the ACT
Department of Health. It is equipped with a power driven bed (which is also
available for patients who are unable to use the beds found in the consulting
rooms). The Practice employs its own autoclave for the sterilisation of
implements, a specialised refrigerator for storage of vaccines, a spirometer,
ECG, ultrasonic cleaner, cryotherapy machine.

Disabled access

Disabled access is via a disabled parking space immediately outside the building, up a short ramp and then via the lift.  Interchange General Practice has access to disabled toilets on the first and ground floors.

Computerised patient notes

The practice is fully computerised with all patient notes now held in electronic form.  A triple back-up system ensures security of patient data.  Strict password based protocols are used to ensure the privacy of patient data
